Breaking new heights: Opus set to be tallest residential tower in the capital

Delivering new heights to experience the iconic London skyline, the 50-storey high Opus the first residential building to launch at Bankside Yards, and soon to be the tallest residential landmark in the capital – will offer exceptional views along the River Thames, including St Paul’s Cathedral.

This is not the only way these expertly designed apartments with panoramic views break new boundaries for London, however.

As part of Native Land’s Bankside Yards development, Opus will run using development’s 5th generation energy sharing network. All of the buildings within Bankside Yards will be powered by electricity from renewable sources using air source heat pumps. This provides unprecedented energy sharing benefits and is the first of its kind at this scale to be delivered in the UK. Arbor, the adjacent ‘smart office’ is part of the same 5th generation energy network, with occupiers already benefitting from the energy-saving initiatives put in place here.

“Bankside Yards will be a true mixed-use development and the clear environmental benefits of combining office and residential space, heating one during the day and the other after office hours, is a significant part of the story,” says Angus Goswell, Partner and Chair of London Offices at Knight Frank.

A pioneering residential building, Opus will offer an uncompromising sustainability and efficiency focus alongside breathtaking panoramic views, showing that this is not just a waterfront destination, but a building that is harnessing new technologies to help towards a fossil fuel-free future.
